Living in Arizona - Heart in Louisiana

It's a beautiful, cool, crisp day in Arizona.  The sun is shining and there are no clouds in the sky.  I love Arizona this time of year.  The mild winters and eternal sunshine are hard to beat at Christmas time.  However, this time of year I always miss Louisiana where visiting family and friends, eating gumbo, boudin and sweet potatoe pies are a part of the holiday festivities.  The unpredictable Louisiana winter weather is just a part of the Christmas season.  Usually it's cold and wet, but nothing is better than the warm, friendly and fun-loving folks of Louisiana.  So, as I sit here in the warm Arizona sunshine with my parents visiting from Louisiana, I can't help but wonder what's brewing in the warm kitchens of Louisiana.....  Maybe we'll make a gumbo in Arizona tonight !
